Frequently Asked Questions

What are the Cancellation Rules for bookings?
You can cancel your booking up to 3 hours before class starts. If less, than 3 hours, it would be helpful if you could let Kath know by email. To cancel your booking: click ‘welcome [your name]’ top right in the booking calendar and select ‘my appointments’.  You will see an option to click cancel next to your booking.
Please cancel in good time to free up a spot for someone on the Wait List.
Students cannot change their appointments themselves – i.e. swap dates and times. But you can delete/ cancel a booking and make another one.  But you will have to pay for the new class. Unfortunately, the system will not automatically give you a refund or on-line credit. Please contact Kath and I can arrange a refund or rebooking if your cancellation is within the policy or there were exceptional circumstances for a late cancellation.

How does the Wait List work?
There are currently maximum 8 spots for the Live In Person yoga classes at Vibez dance and Alfred Sutton School. If the class you select  is full, the system will ask you if you want to go on the waiting list.
If someone cancels and a place in the class becomes available, the people on the waitlist will receive an email with a link to book the class.
The system will not automatically book you in from a waitlist; you need to complete the booking process. Booking for the newly available spot is first come, first serve: whoever books first will take the spot – there is no priority in the waitlist.

Are the on-line yoga classes suitable for all?
Yes, but my instructions are for guidance and motivation only. The teacher cannot watch everything you do in your home during the class. By booking an on-line class participants agree to take responsibility for their own wellbeing, to be  aware of their own capabilities and to ensure the safety of their surroundings. Listen to your body, take modifications or rest where needed to avoid injury. Medical advice should be sought if there is any doubt and, please inform Kath prior to the on-line class if you have any health issues or recent injuries

When are the pregnancy yoga classes?
Prenatal yoga will start again soon.

Is it safe to practice yoga throughout my pregnancy?
Yes, from conception through to week 40. But it is recommended that you attend a designated pregnancy yoga class where you will practice poses and breahing exercises suitable for pregnancy. The teacher will also give variations of some poses depending on which trimester you are in.

IMPORTANT: if you have any underlying medical conditions then you must consult with your Doctor or Midwife before attending yoga classes. Also, please inform the teacher of your condition.

I am new to yoga, are the classes suitable for beginners?
Yes the classes are suitable for everybody from beginner to experienced students. Beginners will soon pick up the basics, following the instructions and demonstrations of the poses. Yoga is not competitive so you don’t need to be concerned if others in the class have more experience. Everyone can find their place.

No. Yoga is for everybody. There are adaptations and modifications to help you work to your ability including if you think you are not flexible. All you need is to be able to breathe!

I have a knee/ back/ wrist injury or pain. Can I still practice yoga?
